Another feather in the cap of RPS Besides academics, RPS has also emerged as a champion in football CBSE Cluster XV held at Panipat from 14 to 16 October 2016. In this prestigious tournament, there were 53 teams in total. RPS contested its first match against Ronak Public School Ganour and defeated it with 2-0. In it second contest it defeated Bluebell School, Sec-4, Gurgaon. In Quarter Final, it overmatched Nishan School, Panipat by 5-4 in the breaker in semi-final, it defeated DAV Rohtak by 2-0. In Final, RPS repeated history and trounced DPS Panipat (4-3) in tie-breaker.

All credit of this goes to dedicated coaches, hard working players and top of the list-dynamic management.

Now the team will proceed to Varanasi for National.

Volley Ball Team

The girls team of Volley ball created a history by winning 1st position in district level competition held by education department of Haryana. Mr. Jitender Phogat ,coach of the team told that we prepared first time the team of girls and we made a history. On this occasion CEO Mr. Manish Rao quoted ”It is the fruit of sweat and labour of team and coach.” He also motivated the team for next competition.

Hockey teams of RPS

RPS’s three teams of hockey under 14,17 and 19 won the district level match held by education department of Haryana and selected for state level competition. On this occasion D.P Akhilesh Tanwar stated that RPS is over all champion in all sports events from last three years. Chairperson Mrs. Pavitra Rao and wing head Mrs. Mukesh Sheoran congratulated the students and also gave blessings for the forth coming competition.

RPSians Grils Volleyball Team Qualified for State Level 2015-16

This National Championship, RPS team proceeded to Anandlaya Vidyalya GUJRAT. There were total 32 teams- from all teams and UNION territories as well as 8 abroad teams. In this league-cum-knockout Tournament , RPS team came with flying colours. In league matches RPS Team defeated some reputed teams. In this Tournament teams were divided into 8 pools. In the first league match, RPS M/Garh representing(HR) defeated net Kerala team 3-0 in the next match, another team Abudhabi was developed by 2-0. Our team played a draw with Maharashtra with1-1 and qualified for pre-quarter Final. In pre-quarter final our team defeated Jaipur by 2-0

After this match, our team net sail BOKARO, which has one of the top two academies in country. In this match in a neck to neck to fight, our Team was defeated by SAIL BOKARO.

Like each and every year, this year also along with other sports activity the Football team of RPS Mahendergarh hoisted its flag in different tournaments organized by CBSE at State and National level. Not only in the field of Education, but also in sports i.e Football the RPS group is at apex. The school football Team has produced some tremendous players who have been selected at National Level at representative of Haryana State.

Since RPS started participating in CBSE cluster, it has been securing 1^st,2^nd or 3^rd position. The most important thing is that the players of this school have once got 3^rd position at National Football Tournament as well as and twice reached in last 8 teams.Intersting thing is that in CBSE national usually winning teams are those where there is a football Academy like TFA,SAIL-BOCARO,TAPS etc.

The 18^th CBSE National Athletics meet which were held at Varanasi in Dec. 2013, in which age group girls under 14, 16 and 19 occupied the Championship Trophy. In the same Athletics meet, our school’s boys and girls got the overall Trophy.

Our School girls made a new Record in 4x100 Relay race in CBSE National Games, in age group under 14. The girls who made record at National Level Athletics named Sarla, Sarita, Anjali and Praveen were called at Red Fort in Delhi for giving them a special prize.

The National Junior Athletics meet were held by Athletic Federation of India in 2012 at Pune. In this Athletic meet a boy named Surender won Gold Medal in 800 Mtr. race. For this achievement the Distt. Sports Officer (D S O) awarded him by 2 Lac. cash prize and Miss Jyoti also got a cash prize of Rs. 75000/- .

Every year near about 40 students were selected in SPAT through our school Athletic Nursery. Our school girls are occupied continuously last 5 years overall Championship in CBSE Cluster games.

The CBSE chairman, Mr. Vinit Joshi honored our school with CBSE “SPORT PROMOTION AWARD 2013-14” for our wonder full  performance in sports.
